About Us

It is our goal to provide a quality learning experience in a supportive environment for all participants. Skaters will achieve their goals while having fun and learning the appropriate elements established by the Ice Skating Institute link . All instructors are qualified university students.

How to get the most out of Hunt Arena Skating School:

Classes will start promptly at the scheduled time. Be ready to go on the ice at your proper lesson time. Enter and leave the ice by skating near the boards rather than cutting across the ice. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get your skates on in time for your class and to receive any new information that you might need for the lesson.
Dress so you are comfortable and warm, but without a lot of bulk.
The use of a hockey or bicycle helmet is strongly encouraged.
Skates should be leather so skaters have the best support for their ankles.
Having skates that are sharp is as important as a good pair of skates. Skate sharpening is available at Hunt Arena for $5.00. Skate rental is also available for $2.50.
Parents: Please make sure your skaters understand what is expected of them so everyone involved will have a great skating experience.

Sound system available for use
Ice is closed to the rest of the public during this time
Limit of twenty skaters per contract ice time
Coaches do not need to pay to enter the ice
Need a Coach? Hunt Arena Skating School coaches available on an individual basis
Each skater with a contract will receive a card that will need to be swiped before each contracted session
All skaters must check in before stepping on the ice
Skaters with contract ice will be guaranteed a spot in their session
We cannot guarantee room for walk-on's.

Ice Show

2012-13 Ice Show "80's Flashback"

Showcase your skills during the annual ice show; complete with costumes, choreography, music and lighting!

Registration open: August 1, 2012

Deadline to register: October 13th, 2012

Practice Dates: Nov. 24, Dec. 1, and Dec. 8th (8am-noon)-individual times will be available after groups are chosen.

Dress Rehearsal: Sunday, December 16th 9:00am-noon

SHOW: Sunday, December 16th 3:00pm

$80/participant (includes costume)
