Honors Program

The UW-River Falls Honors Program is designed to meet the educational needs of students who have an outstanding record of academic achievement and a true sense of intellectual adventure by allowing students to experience a variety of course types and educationally related experiences while gaining academic credit.

Students enrolled in the program may choose Honors sections of many general education classes, take Honors seminars, complete an Honors thesis/project, enroll in a service-learning experience for credit, and receive credits for participation in the intellectual and creative life of the UWRF community and elsewhere. All of these experiences are gained while still keeping within the major and minor requirements of an Honors student's academic program.

We are excited to announce that as of the Fall 2014 semester, the Honors Program has a new home in Hagestad Hall 139! The Student, Staff, and Faculty Interaction Space is now open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. There is comfortable furniture, tables, a huge new tv, student computers (coming soon!), and an overall inviting atmosphere where you can relax, study, plan and enjoy the company of other Honors students. There is also a small fridge, microwave, hot water kettle, and Keurig coffee maker available for student use. The office does not provide K-cups, however we do have some tea, hot cocoa, sugar, sweetener, and powdered creamer on hand. Stop by and check it out!
