Yes, your visit will include a walking tour of campus and our tours run rain or shine. Please be prepared for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. During Daily Visits, the walking tour is an hour and half and during Falcon Preview Days the walking tour is one hour.

What should I wear?

Wear something that you are comfortable in! You will be doing some walking outdoors on your tour, so dress for the weather. Comfortable shoes are recommended. We have umbrellas in our office for you to take along with you should the weather not cooperate. We give tours in all weather conditions.

What is the difference between a Daily Visit and a Falcon Preview Day?

Daily Visits are hosted in the Admissions Office and include a presentation from one of our admissions counselors, a campus walking tour from one of our student Falcon Guides and an optional meeting with a faculty member. Daily Visits usually last two hours but may last up to three hours if meeting with faculty.

Falcon Preview Days are half-day-long visit programs. These programs will include an Admissions overview, a campus walking tour, an information fair about campus resources, time to connect with faculty, a student Q & A, as well as optional farm tours or sports and recreation tours.

What if I did not recieve a confirmation email?

If you did not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam folder and if you cannot find it, call Admissions at 715-425-3500 and we can resend it.

How do I reschedule or cancel my visit date?

We understand that life can get busy sometimes and plans may change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your campus visit, please call Admissions at 715-425-3500.

The date I want to visit on is not available online. Why not?

Unfortunately, that means the date you are looking for has filled or we do not offer visits on that date. We like to keep our visits at a size where our visitors can receive personal attention from our Admissions Counselors and Falcon Guides. Be sure to check both the Daily Visit and Falcon Preview Day tabs to view all the events offered.

How long is my campus visit?

For a Daily Visit, you can expect to be on campus for about two and a half hours but may last up to three hours if meeting with faculty. For a Falcon Preview Day, you will be on campus for five to six hours.

May I bring a guest to visit?

Of course! When you register for your visit, you will be asked how many guests you will bring. Please indicate the correct number when you sign up.

I am visiting with a friend. Do we need to register separately?

If you are coming with another prospective student, please register separately. That way, we will know you both are interested in attending UWRF and can connect you both with proper resources.

Can I meet with a coach during my visit?

We recommend you contact the coach before you schedule your visit. Once you have a date selected to meet with the coach, you can schedule your visit.

Can I meet with faculty during my visit?

When you register to visit campus for a Daily Visit, there is an option to select if you are interested in meeting with a faculty member. These appointments are scheduled based on faculty availability. If you are coming to campus for a Falcon Preview Day, there is time built in during the program to connect with faculty.

What will I see during my tour?

On your campus tour you will see each of our academic buildings, our on-campus dining options, a residence hall room, the library, the University Center, and more.
