Hometown: Hudson, WI
Current City: Hudson, WI
Employer: Grammer, Inc. - Hudson, WI

Nick Dahm credits the hands-on learning he received at UW-River Falls to landing his current job at Grammer, Inc. “The classes I took that have had the greatest impact on my daily work responsibilities are: Project Management, Technical Writing and 3D Modeling,” said Nick. “Those classes in addition to the experience I received through my internships helped prepare me for what I am doing now.” Nick also credits the Agricultural Engineering Technology Department faculty for the relevant skills and knowledge he gained while pursuing his degree. “The professors challenged me and provided me with the knowledge and tools I use in my daily work activities,” he said.

At Grammer Inc., which specializes in manufacturing vehicle seats and components for car interiors, Nick develops design solutions for products and manages project timelines. While attending UW-River Falls, Nick completed internships at Barrel O’Fun Snack Foods and Frontier Ag and Turf, and upon graduation, he served as a product designer at Custom Fire Apparatus. At Grammer Inc., Nick was initially hired as a technical sales support specialist, but was recently promoted to his current position as application engineer.

“When I began the Agricultural Engineering Technology program at UWRF, I never imagined that I would have two internships and that I would work for a company that deals on the global market. The experience I gained at UW-River Falls helped me land my dream job in my hometown,” Nick said.
