Student Health Services enhances students' health by providing basic health services, access to information and resources, advocacy for campus health policies, and prevention focused programming so that students can successfully pursue their academic, personal, and professional endeavors.
Student Health and Counseling Services offers on-campus professional mental health counseling services, clinical health services contracted through Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls and Pierce County Reproductive Health Services in River Falls, and holistic educational and preventative initiatives and programming. Student Health and Counseling Services are supported by the health segregated fee that students pay as part of their fees.

For updated COVID-19 information, including about on-campus testing, contact tracing, isolation and quarantine, etc. please go to the UWRF home page and click on Falcons Forward | Covid-19, and then click on Health and Safety (Information about testing, tracing, quarantine and isolation can be found here: go.uwrf.edu/gettested). For any questions about campus COVID testing, including specific questions about a student's on-campus test, persons should call the hotline at 715-425-4000 or email contact.tracing@uwrf.edu to get assistance. Everyone Should Get Their Flu Shot!
In this year of the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is especially important to get immunized against influenza. Influenza vaccines are covered for current students at Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls by Student Health Services. Students should call 715-425-6701 to schedule an appointment for the flu vaccine. Employees should contact their personal health care provider (or Vibrant Health or Allina clinics in River Falls, but should check insurance for coverage) to schedule an appointment for their flu shot. Student Health and Counseling Services continues to modify services and offerings to meet the needs of our students and campus during COVID-19. Please see below for our contact information, available services, and crisis/emergency numbers/information. Please check for updates at the Student Health and Counseling Services webpage and the UWRF COVID-19 web page. Our webpages have many online resources, which are being regularly updated. Our main office at 254 Rodli is now open, and our staff are working in person or remotely, and we continue to answer phones and respond to emails during business hours (8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri).

-UWRF Personal Counselors Appointments: Currently due to the COVID-19 situation, Counseling Services is offering remote telecounseling therapy appointments, just as we had in-person, so if students wish to schedule a counseling appointment, please email (counseling.services@uwrf.edu) or call 715-425-3884. Due to the COVID-19 situation, we are no longer offering in-person counseling sessions, and this will be reevaluated as the situation continues.
-Medical Clinic Appointments: Vibrant Health Family Clinics in River Falls: 1687 East Division Street **In March 2021, the Clinic is moving to 319 Main Street (adjacent to Family Fresh Grocery). More details coming soon**
Students should call ahead for appointments and identify themselves as a current UWRF student (425-425-6701). Hours may vary due to COVID-19, so call ahead or check the Vibrant Heath Family Clinic web page for current hours: https://www.vibranthealthclinics.com/. Current students can call Vibrant Health Family Clinic in River Falls to schedule appointments. Depending on the provider and the reason for the appointment request, telephone, video, or an in-person visit may be scheduled. Telephone and video appointments are covered by Student Health Services just as in-person appointments have been in the past, so covered services remain the same. Current hours (as of 01/21/2021): Mon.-Thurs. 8 a.m. -6 p.m. Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (appointments scheduled) and Saturday and Sunday Urgent Care from 8 a.m.-noon (walk-in only). For current students with symptoms of COVID, or who have been exposed to COVID, students can call Vibrant Mon.-Thurs. 8 a.m. -6 p.m. Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to set up a video appointment to determine if testing through Vibrant is recommended. If testing is scheduled, students must be able to get to Vibrant Health Family Clinic for testing, as the River Falls Taxi is currently not transporting persons to COVID testing. While some services are still available, please call first to see what services they are currently offering and what hours they are open. Because of the COVID-19 situation, their hours and services may fluctuate. Current services may include emergency contraception, STD testing and treatment for symptomatic patients only, and contraception (pills, patches and Depo-Provera shots). Eligibility for Student Health Services at Vibrant Health Family Clinic and Pierce County Reproductive Health Services: Students are eligible for Student Health Services during the two academic terms, and the January and Summer terms, as long as they are registered for classes and have paid required fees.
