Sign Up by 10/4/22 to be a Grant Academy Fellow
WiSys Research Development is excited to offer a collaborative Grant Writing Academy in partnership with the offices of Grants & Research and Sponsored Programs at UW-River Falls and UW-Superior. Faculty and staff from UW-River Falls and UW-Superior are encouraged to apply to participate in this inter-institutional Grant Writing Academy during the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Participants, known as Grant Academy Fellows, will meet in group sessions 3 times in fall semester and 3 times in spring semester. Grant Academy Fellows will not only benefit from working and learning with their colleagues during group topic sessions but will also be provided personalized support to help you through a complete grant submission.
To apply, submit a current CV, and a 1-2 page summary of your project ideas, potential funding sources and goals you want to achieve through the fellowship program. Please forward this information to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com by October 4, 2022.
Dr. Syliva Kehoe is selected as the Carl E. Gulbrandsen Innovator of the Year!
Dr. Syliva Kehoe, UWRF Professor of Dairy Science will receive the Carl E. Gulbrandsen Innovator of the Year Award at the annual SPARK Symposium on August 1, 2022 at UW-La Crosse. The award is bestowed upon UW System faculty who make exemplary contributions as an innovator. The award was created to honor the former managing director of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF). Kehoe is an inventor, scholar, and educator. She is a faculty research fellow through the Dairy Innovation Hub. Kehow is an advisor to several student research projects and organizations: Academic Advisor for Animal Science undergraduate students, adviser to UWRF DAiry Club, Sigma Alpha & Alpha Zeta, Setemster Abroad students, and the Student Undergraduate Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activities Society.
The goal of the Grants and Research Office is to encourage, facilitate, and support UWRF faculty and staff in securing funding for their research endeavors.
