UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls

College of Education and Professional Studies

The College of Education and Professional Studies is home to about 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students preparing for professional careers in clinical exercise physiology, communication sciences and disorders, counseling, exercise and sport science, school psychology, social work and teaching. Teacher Education, a large component of CEPS, has been a major commitment of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls since its founding in 1874. The university's teacher education programs have received national recognition for excellence and are fully approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Within our home, the Walker D. Wyman Education Building, CEPS students, under our faculty's guidance, teach the next generation of students in the University Preschool and provide evaluation and intervention services to community members with communication impairments in the Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic. We are the only public university in the country with a Montessori graduate program for elementary education, and one of two universities in the nation to offer a graduate-level Montessori program in early childhood education. Meanwhile, our innovative continuing-education programs — like STEMteach — give adult learners unique and flexible opportunities to broaden their skills. With small classes, an experienced faculty, hands-on learning opportunities and world-class facilities, our students gain the insight and knowledge to be leaders in their fields.

One of our college's central values is respect for diversity. We are committed to being inclusive of all people served by our programs.

The CEPS Dean's Office will be closed the following two Fridays:

December 23 and December 30.
