UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
The Associate Vice Chancellor/Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, Student Success, and Graduate Studies serves as the chief deputy to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Student Success; serves in the Provost’s place when the need arises; and collaborates with deans, directors, and other university leaders and staff to further the academic mission and priorities of UW-River Falls. The Associate Provost represents the Provost on governance and system committees and serves as a liaison to other administrative and academic units, both on and off campus.
The Associate Provost serves as the director of Institutional Research; the institution’s UW System Program Planning and Review Liaison, UW System Program Integrity Rules Coordinator, the UW System Academic Programs and Educational Innovation Liaison; the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Accreditation Liaison Officer; and the dean of graduate studies, having responsibilities for administering policies and procedures pursuant to graduate students, faculty, and programs. Operationally, the Associate Provost is the lead academic administrator responsible for program audit and review; program prioritization, academic learning assessment; institutional accreditation; faculty development, chair orientations, Activity Insight, co-curricular assessment, and administrative support for faculty and academic staff development.
The Registrar’s Office; Continuing Education; the Grants and Research Office; Institutional Research; the Office of Learning Effectiveness; the Chalmer Davee Library; an administrative fellow, and a Program Assistant-Confidential report to the Associate Provost. The Associate Provost serves at the pleasure of the Provost and is a member of the Provost’s Council.
