First Year Experience

fye 100pp

First Year Experience is here to support all new incoming student to UWRF! We make sure that students coming to UWRF have a supportive network and have the resources they need to succeed at our campus! Students can expect a week of engagement each semester during our Week of Welcome in the fall and Winter of Welcome in the spring. The fun just doesn’t stop there though! Each new student who is not already a part of a mentoring program from their department or other campus programs are part of the FYE Peer Success Coach Program. Each student is paired with a peer mentor who supports and guides them throughout their first year to ensure that they have someone to connect with.

We also know the importance of families and supporters staying connected with their student as well. To stay in the loop, families and supporters can join The Falcon Family Experience! This platform allows families and supporters to stay connected and see the different opportunities that their student can partake in during the school year. They can select the communities the that matter most to them and stay inform!

Each student in our program are paired with another student at UWRF who serves as their Peer Success Coach (PSC). PSCs will meet with students throughout the school year and provide support and guidance to make sure that students are well connected to resources and campus overall.
