Textbooks can be picked up at Textbook Services Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. Appointments are no longer required. You can get your booklist by logging in to go.uwrf.edu/mybooks.

You must have a valid picture ID (school ID, driver's license, passport) to check out books. All books from previous terms must be returned and all late fines paid before you can check out Fall term books.

If you are unable to get your textbooks in person, use the online mailing form to request they be mailed to you (https://www.uwrf.edu/TextbookServices/Mailing-Books.cfm). There is a $15 mailing fee which is charged to your eSIS account.

Reminder:

  1. Books are due Friday December 22nd.
  2. Report any previous damages by September 22nd.
  3. You have 4 days to return books if you drop a class.

If you have any questions concerning textbook issue, please email us at textbookservices@uwrf.edu.

Spring/Summer Textbook Return

Summer textbooks are due Wednesday, September 6th. Spring textbooks were due on May 16th. Textbooks can be returned in person to Textbook Services, room 241, in Chalmer Davee Library. Late fines will apply if books are returned after the due date. Fall textbooks cannot be checked out until textbooks are returned (Spring and Summer) and all fines paid.

If you are unable to return your textbooks during our open hours, you can use one of our textbook drop boxes. We have one located just outside the library building, facing toward the University Center (UC). The other drop box is located inside the library, to the left of the Textbook Services Help Desk. Textbooks are checked in the next business day.

If you are unable to return textbooks in person, mail them to: UW-River Falls Textbook Services, 410 S 3rd St, River Falls, WI 54022. Email the tracking number to textbookservices@uwrf.edu (shipping instructions at the bottom of this page.)

If you have any questions concerning textbook return, please email us at textbookservices@uwrf.edu.

Textbook Services Due Dates & Late Fines

Textbook due dates are typically the day after the last day of finals. For Summer and Winter terms the due date is the first day of classes of the following term (e.g., Fall term for Summer books.) If a student requires the book past the due date (e.g., took an incomplete, need to finish a paper), their instructor or advisor must email Textbook Services to request this.

  • Students will receive an email from circulation@uwrf.edu after textbooks are checked out, when textbooks are checked in, when they are due, after they are overdue, and monthly email reminders on the 2nd of every month.
  • Late fines are $1/day per book to a maximum of $10 per book.
  • At 28 days overdue, books will be set to LOST and an additional $10 long overdue fine will be applied.
  • After 60 days overdue, student account may be sent to Student Billing for collection.
  • Lost or severely damaged books will have to be paid for at replacement value in Alma.
