Summer Textbooks

Textbooks for Summer semester can be checked out at the Textbook Services Help Desk starting Saturday, May 7th. No appointments are required. To get your booklist for Summer term, go to , and log in with your student ID and password.

To have your textbooks mailed to you submit a mailing request with the $12 mailing fee ($15 after July 1st) at Please check your booklist to confirm you need a textbook before submitting a mailing request.

All textbooks are due by 4 p.m. on September 6th, 2022. Any previous damages to textbooks checked out to you should be reported within the first 2 weeks of classes.

Spring Textbook Return

Textbooks can be returned in person at the Textbook Services Help Desk, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. Books can be returned after hours to one of the Textbook drop boxes.

All textbooks were due by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 13th, 2022. Late fines and fines for damages to textbooks will be applied.

If you are mailing textbooks back to Textbook Services, they should be mailed to: UW-River Falls, Textbook Services, 410 S. 3rd St., River Falls, WI 54022. Include tracking on your package and email the tracking number to Textbook Services.

Textbook Services Changes

Changed from eSIS to Alma

Textbook Services moved the management of our collection from eSIS to Alma (the online platform used by the library.) All check-outs, check-ins, and fines will be handled by Alma. Students will be able see what is currently checked out by logging into MySearch@UW and selecting My Loans. Some other impacts to this change:

  • Students will receive an email after textbooks are checked out, when textbooks are checked in, when they are due, and monthly email reminders.
  • Fines for late and lost books will be similar to the library.
    • Late fines will now be $1/day per book to a maximum of $10 per book.
    • At 28 days overdue, books will be set to LOST and an additional $10 long overdue fee will be applied.
    • Lost or severely damaged books will have to be paid for at replacement value in Alma.

After Hours Returns

Textbook Services has two drop boxes for after hour textbook return. They are only open when Textbook Services is closed. One is outside the southeast entrance to the Chalmer Davee Library (doors facing the UC.) The other is set in the wall to the left of our service window at 241 Chalmer Davee Library.

Instructions for Shipping Textbooks Back to UWRF

  1. Pack all textbooks in a cardboard box or USPS Flat Rate Box. Fill any voids with packing material (e.g. air pillows, bubble wrap, newsprint).
  2. If you have only one or two books, you may use a padded shipping envelope instead of a box.
  3. Include a sheet of paper with your name and Falcon ID ("W") number inside the package.
  4. Seal box with packing tape.
  5. Address the package to: UW-River Falls Textbook Services, 410 S. 3rd St., River Falls, WI 54022.
  6. Take the box to a Post Office, UPS Office or FedEx Store.
  7. Email tracking number to
