The Health and Human Performance Department offers majors in Health and Physical Education & Exercise and Sport Science as well as graduate degrees in Health and Wellness Management, Clinical Exercise Physiology and Strength and Conditioning.   Our students benefit from UWRF's state-of-the-art technology and modern sports facilities. With experienced instruction from a supportive faculty, we prepare our students for a variety of health-related careers including physical therapy, occupational therapy, teaching health and physical education, health management, adapted physical education, coaching, and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. More importantly, we foster a commitment to lifelong physical activity and healthy lifestyles that enrich the lives of others.

The Health and Human Performance Department Advantage

  • Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in real-world situations in Wisconsin and Minnesota public schools, fitness centers and regional sports teams.
  • With the completion of the Falcon Center in 2017, Health and Human Performance students have access to the $63.5 million, 162,300-square-foot facility which includes state-of-the-art teaching classrooms, an exercise science lab, a fitness center, an outdoor adventure rental center, bouldering wall, Karges Gym, Page Arena, Knowles Center indoor track, and Hunt Ice Arena.
