Applications open for new online cybersecurity master’s degree May 8, 2020 - In response to increasing demand for information security professionals, the University of Wisconsin Extended Campus has launched an online Master of Science in Cybersecurity. The newly accredited graduate program joins a growing list of online degrees offered by UW Extended Campus.
Business degree completion now offered online May 12, 2020 - The Adult Degree Completion (ADC) Program through the College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is launching a 100% online degree in business administration beginning in the fall.
Campus newspaper wins four awards May 4, 2020 - The Student Voice, the campus newspaper of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, won four awards in the 2019 Collegiate Better Newspaper Contest sponsored by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association (WNA) Foundation. Results were announced May 4 by the WNA, the state's trade association for the newspaper industry.
Foster to return as interim chancellor May 26, 2020 – Further to the announcement of the upcoming departure of UW-River Falls Chancellor Dean Van Galen, UW System acted quickly to identify an interim replacement. Earlier today, UW System President Ray Cross announced that Connie Foster has agreed to return to the helm of the institution where she had previously spent nearly 25 years and which she once led in the same role of interim chancellor.

Nine students honored with Chancellor’s Award May 13, 2020 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls recently bestowed its highest non-academic honor on nine students. The Chancellor’s Award for Students recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, excellence and service, both on campus and in the community. Recipients must also have shown a commitment to UWRF’s core values, as well as positive and inspiring personal traits and contributions in areas such as undergraduate research, inclusivity and global education.
Peterson and Lee named CAFES Outstanding Seniors May 22, 2020 – The College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls recently announced the recipients of the Rochelle Junkman Seymour Award and the Dr. Earl Hildebrand Memorial Award. Both annual awards honor outstanding seniors.
Six faculty fellowships funded by state-sponsored Dairy Innovation Hub May 13, 2020 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences recently awarded six faculty research fellowships to help increase dairy-related research capacity through the Dairy Innovation Hub initiative. The selected faculty members will tackle research projects in the hub’s four priority areas: stewarding land and water resources; enriching human health and nutrition; ensuring animal health and welfare; and growing farm business and communities.
UW-River Falls now accepting applications for online associate of arts and sciences degree May 15, 2020 – UW-River Falls is one of seven University of Wisconsin System campuses now offering an online associate degree program in collaboration with UW Extended Campus. The UW Associate of Arts and Sciences degree program was recently accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is available through UW-Eau Claire, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Parkside, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, and UW-Whitewater. Applications are now being accepted for the accredited associate degree program, launching in September 2020.
UW-River Falls plans for fall 2020 course delivery May 14, 2020 - To the greatest extent possible, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls intends to return to in-person classes this fall. UW-River Falls is among hundreds of colleges across the country facing a time-sensitive decision on its approach to course delivery for fall semester. COVID-19 forced UWRF, as well as all UW System campuses, to shift its courses online in mid-March through the end of the spring semester.
