Preder named top College of Arts and Sciences graduate

May 26, 2020 – Hannah Preder, of Kewaskum, was recently named the top College of Arts and Sciences spring graduate at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Hannah Preder Preder, a biology major with a biomedical sciences emphasis and a chemistry and Spanish minor, received the Seymour-Junkman Award which is presented to a graduating senior with the highest grade-point average within their college.

“Having great friends and professors helped me to be successful by both supporting me and challenging me to do my best,” Preder wrote in an email. “Additionally, resources such as tutoring centers and Peer Lead Student Learning helped me through my more challenging classes.”

While at UWRF, Preder was a member and officer of the Tennis Club and a member of the Honors Program, took part in intramurals and undergraduate research, studied abroad, and worked as a desk assistant for Residence Life.

“I am grateful for all of the professors, staff, classmates, and friends who helped to make these past three years at UWRF a positive experience,” she wrote.

Preder hopes to eventually pursue a master’s degree in genetic counseling.
