3.3.3.18 Recruitment, Admission, and Retention Committee

1. Membership: Seven faculty, with at least one each from the academic staff and/or rank of lecturer, assistant professor, associate professor, and professor; and three students. The Director of Admissions will be an ex-officio member of this committee [FS 03/04 #32]. The Director of the New Student and Family Programs shall hold an ex-officio, non-voting, position and give the committee regular updates regarding New Student and Family Programs. [FS 11/12 #93]
2. Term of Office: Three years for faculty, one-third being appointed each year; one year for students.
3. Duties:

1. to examine and develop new, innovative, and/or experimental programs for the identification and recruitment of potential students and the retention of existing students
2. to recommend policies for implementation of new recruitment and retention programs
3. to coordinate with the External Relations Committee in the examination and recommendation of methods for making the public aware of the academic programs offered at UW-River Falls, as well as the strong commitment to teaching and academic excellence on the campus
