The goal of this study was to determine the role that social capital plays in mediating the impact of structural changes on dairy farming. Two separate surveys were conducted for this project, one directed at dairy farmers, and another directed at community residents.
The goal of this study was to help in understanding the effectiveness of using Automatic Milking
Systems (AMS), also known as robotic milkers, and the factors that drive farmers’ decisions to
adopt or avoid AMS on dairy farms. Below is the survey instrument used to mail out to farmers this past spring.
