Student Conduct and Community Standards

SCCS is the main point of contact for all issues of misconduct and threatening behavior on campus.
Our work includes:
  • Academic Misconduct/Integrity Concerns
  • Nonacademic Misconduct (on and off campus)
  • Care Team (and case management for students in need of support)
  • Records Requests (for disciplinary/background checks)
  • Support of the Title IX Coordinator (through sexual misconduct investigations and prevention efforts)
  • Communications with students who may be involved. 
  • Offers to meet with SCCS staff to discuss the alleged misconduct.
  • Ensures due process throughout the entire process.
  • Upholds the rights of individuals and the entire campus community.
  • Balances the facilitation of of individual growth/development with the safety of the campus community.
  • Holds students accountable for their decision-making and behaviors through the use of educational sanctions.
  • Reaches out to the referred student. 
  • Offers on- and off-campus resources for support.
  • Offers opportunities to meet with SCCS staff for consistent and continual support.
