Very high proportions of those over 65 in Minnesota, Wisconsin and the St. Croix River Valley counties had no difficulties with self-care as of 2019.
Most St. Croix River Valley counties have somewhat higher proportions of their 65+ populations who have no difficulties with self-care than their respective state averages.
The one exception is Pierce County, which has a somewhat higher proportion of its 65+ population who do have some self-care difficulties.
Because the scale of the chart runs from 90% to 100% the increase in the percentage of those 65 and older with no difficulties with self-care from 2013 to 2014 looks much more substantial than it was.
Since 2014 there has been a slight upward trend in the percentage of residents 65 and older in Chisago and Washington Counties who have no difficulties with self-care.
Overall, since 2016, higher proportions of Chisago and Washington Counties have had no difficulties with self-care than the Minnesota state average.
