Chancellor’s Award winners honored
January 19, 2022 - Ten winners have been announced for the 2020 and 2021 Chancellor’s Awards at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Chancellor Maria Gallo honored eight staff members and two departments at the university’s Spring Opening Meeting on January 18. Awards included the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence for Academic Staff and the Chancellor’s Recognition Award for University Staff.
 
COVID-19 vaccination, booster clinics at UW-River Falls open to community
January 6, 2022 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is partnering with Pierce County Public Health and Freeman Drug in River Falls to make free COVID-19 vaccines and boosters available to students, employees and community members.
 
Freddy’s Pantry opens in Rodli Hall to address student food insecurity
January 27, 2022 - With nearly one-third of university students nationally food insecure, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls recently opened Freddy’s Pantry in Rodli Hall to help provide grab-and-go foods for hungry students
 
Hukai named acting dean of the College of Business and Economics
January 7, 2022 - Dawn Hukai, associate dean and professor of accounting in the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, has been named acting dean of the college. Hukai began her new position December 20. 
 
Masquers to present ‘Wonder of the World’
January 14, 2022 - The Masquers Drama Student Organization at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will present “Wonder of the World” by David Lindsay-Abaire February 2-5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Blanche Davis Theatre in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building.

January 24, 2022 - A University of Wisconsin-River Falls associate professor and an alum were named special award recipients by the University of Wisconsin System and were recognized by UWRF Chancellor Maria Gallo at the Spring Opening Meeting on January 18.
 
UW-River Falls team again takes first at National Forage Bowl
January 24, 2022 - For the third year in a row, the team from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls captured first place at the National Forage Bowl competition. The competition takes place at the annual meeting of the American Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC) which was held January 9-11 in Wichita, Kansas, this year.
