Duet Ensembles: Registration fee of $10 per person.

Duets provide an exciting opportunity for students to engage in collaborative learning and playing at the piano. Students electing this DUET ENSEMBLES Track will spend time playing at the piano keyboard plus engaging in supportive musical games on Orff instruments and drums which help the student better master rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic challenges found in their duet music. The “musical games” will be led by UWRF music education students and faculty with consideration of varied student developmental levels. Duet Ensemble members will choose an appropriate level of music from the list provided below and prepare it with their piano instructor prior to festival day. Once at festival, they will work with their fellow duet players to polish the music for performance on the Culminating Recital. Both morning and afternoon sessions offer this DUET ENSEMBLE Track for students of different ages and skill level.

The music selections are listed below. Students must bring an ORIGINAL score with them to festival for use in rehearsal and performance. Duet scores might be available by borrowing from other piano teachers and are available for purchase from various music stores and publishers.
