Aspire Program

UW-River Falls is deeply committed to supporting a learning and living environment in which all students, faculty, staff and community members are welcomed and respected. This commitment is reflected in one of our university's core values:

INCLUSIVENESS. We commit to a community of mutual respect, professional behavior, academic freedom and appreciation of individual differences and rich cultural diversity.

This is why UW-River Falls began the Aspire Program in fall 2017. The Aspire Program is designed for students of color, and/or low income and first-generation students, to ensure their continuing success at UWRF. The program will pair incoming students with an upperclass mentor to help guide them through their first year.

If you have any questions or would like to inquire about being a part of it, contact Jannie Gonzales, Aspire Grant coordinator, at jannie.gonzales@uwrf.edu, or Director Martin Olague at martin.olague@uwrf.edu or at 715-425-3300.

Earn $$$!

By attending events throughout the year, Aspire students will be able to earn credit towards a stipend that will help pay for:
Conducting Research (URSCA & McNair Scholars)
