  • Favorite part about leading group fitness: Motivating others to enjoy working out.
  • Favorite hobby/activity: Anything in water, reading, and outdoor activities.
  • Fun Fact: My daughter is a Sophomore at UW-Lac Crosse.  My son is a Freshman at UW-Eau Claire.  My husband and I are first time empty nesters.

  • Favorite part about leading Group Fitness: My favorite part about leading group fitness is watching participants in class as they begin to realize that they are stronger than they think. I also love using upbeat music to engage everyone in a fun way as they find their inner determination to leave their comfort zone and let their legs fly.
  • Fun Fact: I have my 20 year old rescue mare (Coraline, Quarter horse) boarded near campus and I am in the process of training her to be more confident under saddle!

  • Favorite activity/hobby: Outdoor activites (hiking, biking, paddle boarding)
  • Fun fact: I have visited 9 different states.

  • When Did You Start Teaching?: November 2022
  • Why Do You Like Teaching?: I think cycling in a great way to get a workout in and it makes you feel good while doing it! So, I'd like to share that with as many people as I can.

  • Why do you like teaching?: I love motivating others to do their best and be their best self.
  • What is a fun fact about you?: I LOVE 90s country music, especially George Strait, Tim McGraw, and Brooks&Dunn!

  • Why Do You Like Teaching?: I love guiding people to find the same comfort and strength that I find in working out. It is a great resource to have gyms, equipment, and planned workouts with instruction for people not only getting started, but for students unable to dedicate time to build efficient plans.
  • What is a Fun Fact About You?: I have moved across the country. From California, Utah, Minnesota, and Wisconsin I have had the opportunity to work and grow with so many people who have made me who I am today.

  • Favorite part about leading Group Fitness: My favorite part about teaching yoga at UWRF is seeing students make time for their wellness.
  • Fun Fact: My husband and I keep bees and we are cat parents to Pepper and Toes. I also teach goat yoga in the summer!
  • SylviaMajor: Bachelor's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), now in grad school for Higher Education Administration
  • Certifications: Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, 200 - Hour Yoga Teacher Certification

  • Instructor for: Yoga - Power and Candlelight Restore for 2 years.
  • Favorite part about leading Group Fitness: Watching students surprise themselves, and also seeing people prioritizing their mental and physical health.
  • Favorite hobby/activity: Taking my dog to the park:)
  • Fun Fact: I studied abroad 3 times and visited 21 countries in undergrad.
