Surplus Property Program


Profits made through the Surplus Property Program will remain in the Surplus Property Department. The revenue is then spent in ways beneficial to all campus departments such as confidential shredding days held at least twice each year. 

For electronic items sent to surplus or higher value specialty items, departments can request that 75% of the profits be returned to their department account.

All items sold at sales or through online auctions are sold as is. There are no returns, exchanges, and no exceptions. 

For all on campus sales, it is strongly preferred that all items purchased are picked up the same day during store hours. If this is not an option and the item has been paid for, the item will be held for up to 5 business days during which a pickup can be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Notice on Technology Items

Technology items purchased at the surplus sale are not allowed to be reused on campus.

All technology purchases intended for use on campus must be procured through the Division of Technology Services.

Prices of electronic equipment are determined carefully and accurately according to current market value. Product specifications can be found on each machine/device.

Note: Electronic equipment sold at the surplus sale is refurbished. This means the equipment has been subject to normal wear and tear throughout its useful life. Some components may or may not have experienced damage during its use.
