The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) offers superb academic programs, an English Language Transition Program, and award-winning faculty and staff. CAS also provides teacher certification across a number of disciplines and supports pre-professional programs in areas such as pre-law and pre-engineering. The college's goal is to educate the complete person on citizenship and leadership, a productive life and the love of learning through opportunities for research, performance, creativity, and global experiences.

Departments included in CAS are Art, Biology, Chemistry, English, Geography and Mapping Sciences, History and Philosophy, Journalism and Communication Studies, Marketing Communications, Mathematics, Modern Language, Music, Physics, Political Science, Psychology and Neuroscience, Stage and Screen Arts, and finally Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice.
