Self-Service Reporting (UWBI)

Please Note: As of March 1, 2019, Interactive Reporting/Hyperion is no longer available, and has been transitioned to UWBI. You can read the UW System memo regarding this transition here.

We are still in the process of converting reports from Interactive Reporting to UWBI. Please view the Report Status/Release Schedule document on this page to see the list of currently available reports.

If you have an urgent need for data from a report that is not yet available in UWBI, please submit a request via email to, including the report name and any filter selections (term, college, program, etc.) that you need.


What is UWBI?

University of Wisconsin Business Intelligence (UWBI) is a web-based reporting application that provides comprehensive business intelligence and analytics capabilities, including interactive dashboards, standardized reporting, data vizualizations, ad hoc queries, and more.

How do I access UWBI?

Before you can log in to the UWBI system, your supervisor/manager will need to submit the UWBI Access Service Request form, found here:

(Note: Users with director or dean level access can submit the request for themselves. A reason and need for the request must be provided.)

The UWBI Access Service Request form can be used to request access to the following data sources:

  • Admissions: Admit term and type as well as information relating to the student record collected through Admissions.
  • Student Records: Access to active students, current students, enrollments, course scheduling, advisors, graduating students, and others relating to the student record.

You will need a valid Falcon ID and Duo Multi-Factor Authentication to log in to UWBI.
