UW-River Falls Theatre presents 'Kwaidan: Strange Tales from East Asia'
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Theatre will present "Kwaidan: Strange Tales fro East Asia" April 24-26 and May 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Syse Theatre in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building.
 
451st Army Band to Present Concert at UW-River Falls
The 451st Army Band will present a concert along with the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Symphony Band at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, in Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building on the UWRF campus.
 
Campeau Named Director of the New Center for Innovation and Business Development at UW-River Falls
Danielle Campeau, University of Wisconsin-River Falls alumna with an undergraduate degree in biology (2007) and an MBA degree (2012), has returned to the university as the new economic development specialist and director of the new Center for Innovation and Business Development (CIBD).
 
Groundbreaking for $63.5 Million Falcon Center Set for May 2
The largest building project in the 140-year history of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls moves one step closer to reality this week with a groundbreaking ceremony for the $63.5 million Falcon Center. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 2, outside Hunt Arena.
 
RADD Jazz Series Presents Universal Language X at UW-River Falls
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls RADD Jazz Series presents “Universal Language X” featuring the UWRF Jazz Ensemble, directed by Craig Hara, on Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m., at Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building. The event is free and open to the public.
 
Registration Open for Falcon Youth Horsemanship Academy for Youth at UW-River Falls
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcon Youth Horsemanship Academy, under the direction of Professor Kris Hiney, is hosting summer day camps for youth ages 7 to 18 at the UWRF Campus Farm.
 
Small Business Development Center at UW-River Falls Relocates
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls has relocated off-campus to the River Falls Municipal Power Plant building at 401 S. Winter St., just a few blocks from UWRF. The SBDC is housed in the newly renovated east office addition and is sharing that space with the new Center for Innovation and Business Development (CIBD).
 
UW-River Falls Dairy Science Professor Appointed Advisor to PDPW Board
Steve Kelm, professor of dairy science at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, has been appointed as an advisor to the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin (PDPW) Board of Directors.
 
UW-River Falls Dance Theatre to Host Zumbathon Fundraiser
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dance Theatre will host a Zumbathon charity fundraiser in the Karges Center gymnasium at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23.
 
UW-River Falls Finals Fest Concert to Feature Heiruspecs, Davina and the Vagabonds, and Taj Raj
The ninth annual Finals Fest Concert at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will showcase three bands from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Heiruspecs, Davina and the Vagabonds, and Taj Raj will play at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the outdoor Melvin Wall Amphitheatre.
 
UW-River Falls Horse Show Team Advances to National Competition
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Western Equestrian Team brought home the Reserve Championship from the national semi-finals competition, earning a trip to the IHSA National Championship Show in Harrisburg, Penn.,

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Art Department announces the 2014 Juried Student Art Exhibition in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building from April 18-May 7. Free and open to the public.
 
UW-River Falls Soils and Crops Teams in the Top Three at NACTA
Teams from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls took first place in the soils competition and third place in the crops competition at the annual North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo., April 10-12.
 
UW-River Falls Student Named ASABE Ag Engineering Technology Student of the Year
The Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has named Miles Erickson the 2014 Agricultural Engineering Technology Student of the Year. Erickson, of Hastings, Minn., is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls majoring in Agricultural Engineering Technology.
