UWRF provides this list of external scholarships as a courtesy when we are notified. These opportunities are not directly offered through UWRF. While deadlines may have passed for scholarships - the information will remain on this site so you can prepare and apply for the next cycle when it opens.

  • ROTC Scholarship through UWRF ROTC
  • NCCWSL The AAUW-RF (American Association of University Women-River Falls) Branch invites River Falls area college women to apply for a scholarship to attend NCCWSL (National Conference for College Women Student Leaders). 2023 applications were due March 1, 2023. Please check back next year for updated information.
  • Waseda Farms Scholarship The Thomas H. Lutsey-Waseda Farms Scholarship is a four-year $10,000 scholarship for students pursuing an agriculture career that will benefit our rural WI communities. Apply between January 1 - April 1.
  • Northern Seed Trade Association Scholarship The NSTA scholarship is designed to support students interested in pursuing careers in the Seed Trade Industry. Apply by April 1, 2023.
  • VMH Foundation and Friends of VHM Scholarship Program The purpose of the VMH Scholarship Program is to financially assist students pursuing medical, nursing, and other health-care related careers. Applications must be received to the VMH Foundation Office by April 1, 2023.
  • Koenig's Conservation Scholarship Each year a scholarship is awarded to a college student from Sheboygan County. Please see their website for qualifications and application details. Applications accepted from December 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023.
  • ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship For current high school seniors from Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, or Wisconsin who attend college in fall 2023. Sponsored by Iowa Student Loan Liquidity Corporation. The scholarship begins January 9, 2023 and ends at 3:59:59 pm Central Time on April 28, 2023.
  • Brule River Sportsman's Club Scholarship For students pursuing a career in natural resources. Application deadline is midnight CDT April 30th.
  • Wisconsin Outdoor Communicators Association - scholarship opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students with the goal to encourage and support student interest in communicating information about outdoor recreational activities through print, radio, social media, and television. To learn more about the association, please see w-o-c-a.org. Application deadline is April 28, 2023.
  • Wisconsin Women in Government - Undergraduate Scholarship Program designed to provide financial support for female-identifying students who wish to pursue careers in public service, public administration, or governmental affairs. Available to current college or university students who likely would have difficulty continuing their education without financial assistance, the purpose of this program is to make post-secondary education more accessible to individuals by relieving some of the financial burden. Please download the application materials for eligibility criteria and instructions. The deadline for applications is June 12, 2023.
  • Wisconsin County Solid Waste Management Association (WCSWMA) - is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission focused on environmental education, solid-waste management, recycling, environmental engineering, and the environmental sciences and has developed two scholarships for a student who demonstrates exceptionalism in their studies, extra-curricular involvement, and passion for environmental issues. Open to Junior, Senior, and Post-Graduate level students with a declared major related to WCSWMA's mission, enrolled full-time at accredited WI universities or colleges, this online scholarship application deadline is June 15, 2023.
  • Wisconsin Trappers Association (District 10) Scholarship - this scholarship is for any graduate, post-graduate, or undergraduate student who will have a sophomore status in the fall and supports students entering the field of wildlife management, fisheries, or ecology whose career goals and/or research are in direct or indirect support of sound furbearer management. Scroll to bottom of page and click on "Dist 10 Scholarship Application" for a PDF of criteria and application. Deadline to apply is August 15.
  • Allied Van Lines Scholarship - this opportunity is aimed at students whose area of study focuses on logistics and moving-related fields. Three individual scholarships will be awarded at $1000 each. You will be required to supply a transcript and verification of enrollment when applying online, which can be accessed through your eSIS student portal (please connect with the Registrar's Office for questions on obtaining these documents, or view the instructions for each found on the eSIS Student Tutorials page).
  • Community Foundations of Wisconsin - a listing of Wisonsin's community foundations, many of which include local scholarship resources.

 

Outside Resource Notification

If you are a UW-River Falls student who has received an Outside Scholarship (not a UWRF scholarship), you are required to report that scholarship using the Outside Resource Notification Form.
