Academic Programs

The College of Education and Professional Studies is home to approximately 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students preparing for professional careers in clinical exercise physiology, communication sciences and disorders, counseling, exercise and sport science, school psychology, social work, and teaching.

Teacher Education, a large component of the College of Education and Professional Studies, has been a major commitment of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls since its founding in 1874. The College's teacher education programs have received national recognition for excellence and are fully approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction

The following programs are offered only as a minor:

Adapted Physical Education
Athletic Coaching
Dance Education
Early Childhood*
General Science (eled)
Health Education
Language Arts (eled)
Outdoor Education
Social Science (eled)

(eled) - minor is only available for elementary education majors
* - leads to teacher licensing only with the elementary major
