Our Academics

SBE provides undergraduate and graduate degrees. Our highly qualified faculty bring their real-world experience into the classroom each day, while our dedicated internship resources provide support for learning outside of the classroom.

The SBE Experience

Here, we’re about more than just the degree you’ll receive. We see your college career as a journey, one where you’ll explore more than just your career options. You’ll learn lifelong skills through personalized learning and build a network of your peers and professional connections through meaningful interactions. You’ll innovate, create, learn from the best and become a leader. When you graduate, you’ll have more than just a degree – you’ll have a rock-solid foundation of skills, connections and experiences to build on.

The School of Business and Economics is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). What’s this mean? It means you’re getting a top-notch education! The AACSB is the premier accrediting body for business schools that offer bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in business and accounting. It’s the only assurance available that all business programs are of the highest quality and are taught by highly qualified instructors. AACSB accreditation has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business schools.

A collaborative workshop designed for students to build models and minimum viable products to illustrate their ideas, the MakerSpace is available to anyone on campus. The space is an area to play, create, innovate and build and serves as a crucial resource for students in the college’s innovation courses and those participating in the Ideathon and Innovation Challenge.

Innovation isn’t just a buzzword to us, it’s one of our core pillars. Programs like the Innovation Challenge and Innovator in Residence Series, facilities like the SBE Makerspace and coursework built around developing and nurturing innovative thinking are all part of our commitment to developing the best and brightest thinkers.

Internships and professional experiences give you a serious leg up when it comes to your career prospects. We strongly encourage students to pursue internships and have dedicated resources to help.

We encourage you to get involved! SBE supports a variety of active student organizations that provide students with opportunities outside of the classroom. From the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society to our Women in Business organization, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved.

Marketing Student Ashley Long
My adviser and professors have been very supportive of me and I feel very prepared because of the many opportunities UWRF and my professors have given me. I am grateful for the hands-on experience I have received, including the resume building and research projects. From these experiences, I have not only learned what is in the textbook but also how to apply it outside of the classroom.
