Brand Review

University Marketing and Communications (UCM) provides brand review of marketing materials to help your office or department better align your communications and marketing efforts with the UW-River Falls brand. Consistent use of the UW-River Falls images and messages will help strengthen our brand message and create a more established and recognized identity for the university.   

Any marketing or communication piece created for an external audience must receive approval from UCM prior to distribution.  

Brand Review Checklist
Before submitting your material for brand review, ask yourself the following:

  • Is the university logo used correctly?
  • Are university colors used appropriately?
  • Does it use university approved fonts?
  • Does it use relevant university photography?
  • Does your copy adhere to the university Writing Style Guide?
  • Does your message complement and not conflict with the university key messages?
  • Is all appropriate information listed (website, phone number, email, call-to-action etc.)?

Required vs. Suggested Changes
University Communications and Marketing may suggest two types of changes: required and suggested. Be prepared to allow for additional time to make required changes prior to release.

Brand Review Timeline
Please allow approximately one week for the review process, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
