Community invited to participate in healthy habit booths
November 3, 2021 – Local businesses and UW-River Falls will host booths showing off healthy habits on Friday, Nov. 19, from 4-6 p.m. in the Falcon Center. The event is hosted by the UWRF Health and Human Performance Department and is free and open to everyone.
 
River Falls recognized as one of the top 50 safest college towns in the country
November 11, 2021- The city of River Falls ranks No. 34 in the safest college towns in the country, according to a recent SafeWise study, The 50 Safest College Towns in America of 2021. This ranking is up 26 spots from River Falls’ No. 60 ranking in 2020. The study reviewed 422 cities with populations of at least 15,000 that were home to accredited colleges with four-year degrees. 
 
Six students accepted into Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program
November 19, 2021 – Six students were recently accepted into the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. The McNair program prepares eligible scholars to pursue a graduate program following the completion of their undergraduate degree at UW-River Falls.
 
Students complete McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program
November 19, 2021 – Five University of Wisconsin-River Falls students have recently completed the Summer Research Institute with the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program. The McNair Program prepares eligible scholars to pursue a graduate program following the completion of their undergraduate degree at UW-River Falls.
 
UW-River Falls receives sustainability distinctions
November 15, 2021 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls commitment to sustainability has once again been recognized as the university’s efforts to expand sustainable practices continue to grow. The campus has received numerous accolades over the past several months, most recently being featured in The Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges 2022 Edition.
