Future healthcare data leaders empowered with new online Master of Science in healthcare analytics

July 10, 2025 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is launching a new fully online Master of Science in healthcare analytics (MSHA) graduate program. Offered by the AACSB-accredited School of Business and Economics in the College of Education, Business and Allied Health at UW-River Falls. The program will begin in fall 2025 and is tailored for both working professionals and recent graduates eager to lead in today’s data-driven healthcare industry.

The MSHA program prepares students to turn complex health data into actionable insights that improve patient care, streamline operations and support decision-making in health systems, insurance and public health organizations. Students will develop strong foundations in data analysis, healthcare operations, compliance and population health—key skill areas in one of the fastest-growing fields in the country.

“The Master of Science in healthcare analytics is designed to meet the real-world challenges of today’s healthcare environment,” said Logan Kelly, UWRF professor of economics and chair of the Economics Department. “Whether your goal is to improve patient outcomes, streamline operations or lead data-driven change, this program gives you the tools and experience to get started right away. We combine hands-on analytics training with a strong focus on how healthcare systems actually work, so you’ll be ready to make an impact from day one.”

Students can complete the degree in as little as two years part-time or choose an accelerated option. The program is ideal for those currently working in healthcare or related industries, as well as career changers looking to enter the field of healthcare analytics. Dual degree options are also available, combining the MSHA with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA).
