Architect selected for Science and Technology Innovation Center
February 24, 2020 – The new Science and Technology Innovation Center the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will be designed by BWBR an architecture firm based in Madison. BWBR will lead a team of consulting architects and engineers for the project.
 
BFA candidates show their work
February 19, 2020 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Spring 2020 BFA graduating class will present their work March 2-April 13 in an exhibition in Gallery 101 in Kleinpell Fine Arts. On display will be ceramics, sculptures, glass, paintings, drawings, illustration, and graphic design.

Dairy Club excels at Midwest conference
February 24, 2020 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dairy Club was honored with several awards including Largest Club in Attendance, third place for Club Display and the Spirit Award at the Midwest Regional American Dairy Science Association-Student Affiliate Division (ADSA-SAD) hosted by Iowa State University January 24-26. More than 50 members of the UWRF Dairy Club attended the conference.
 
Dance Theatre to present annual spring concert March 4-7
February 20, 2020 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dance Theatre will present their annual spring concert March 4-7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Blanche Davis Theatre in Kleinpell Fine Arts.
 
Emmy Award Winning NFL Films Ryan Stridde to speak Monday
February 12, 2020 - Emmy Award Winning NFL Films Ryan Stridde will speak at UW-River Falls on Monday, Feb. 17, at noon, in the Davis Theatre in Kleinpell Fine Arts. Stridde, a UW-River Falls alumnus, will share his experience working professionally with NFL Films as a location sound technician.
 
Film screening features FDR Labor Secretary Frances Perkins
February 28, 2020 – A free screening of the film “Summoned: Frances Perkins and the General Welfare” will be offered at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Wednesday, March 11, from 6-8 p.m. in the Kinnickinnic Theater in the University Center. The screening is open to the public.
 
Horse judging youth clinic offered March 7
February 19, 2020 - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is offering a Horse Judging Youth Clinic on Saturday, March 7, at the Campus Farm, 1475 S. Wasson Lane, River Falls. The clinic is intended for 4-H and FFA youth members as well as agricultural education coaches interested in learning or improving their horse judging skills. Participants of all judging experiences and levels are welcome.

February 27, 2020 - The Wisconsin Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (WACTE) announced the recipients of its 2020 Early Career Educators and Pre-Service Educators last week.
 
University Theatre to present ‘Amor and More: A Valentine’s Cabaret’
February 3, 2020 – University Theatre at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will present “Amor and More: A Valentine’s Cabaret” Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 14 and 15 at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. in the Syse Back Box Theatre in Kleinpell Fine Arts.
 
Vento Scholarship awarded
February 5, 2020 - A graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is the 2019-20 recipient of the Bruce F. Vento Science Educator Scholarship. Laura Lusardi, of Hudson, is pursuing her master’s degree and licensure as a secondary school science teacher through UWRF’s STEMteach graduate program.
