Student Information

Commencement Checklist

  1. Apply to graduate
  2. Pay outstanding financial obligations. You will not officially graduate until all financial obligations have been reconciled.
  3. Purchase academic regalia (cap, gown, tassel, hoods, etc) from the UWRF Falcon Shop.
  4. Update your contact information in eSIS to ensure that your diploma and transcripts arrive safely.
  5. Consider being a student speaker at the ceremony.
  6. Contact Career Services for help finding professional positions, resume writing and other career-related assistance.
  7. Take a moment and enjoy all that you have accomplished! We are very proud of each of you!

Commencement Regalia, Announcements, Frames and Rings

Caps, gowns, tassels, stoles, masters' gowns, masters' hoods and diploma frames will be available for purchase in the Falcon Shop in the University Center and online at UWRFshop.com.  Please contact the Falcon Shop with any questions at 715-425-3962 or falconshop@uwrf.edu.

Note: students may receive emails from Signature or other companies selling regalia or other graduation supplies. These companies do not have a formal relationship with UWRF.   

Additional graduation items can be ordered directly from Herff Jones. Herff Jones is the official vendor for the Falcon Shop and the UWRF campus.

Graduate Students

  • Graduate students receiving a master's degree must also order a hood through the Falcon Shop.
  • Please check with the Falcon Shop regarding the color of the hood for your degree.

Day Of

Student Attire
The recommended dress code for graduates is business attire.

Arrival Time
Students are expected to arrive 45 minutes before the ceremony begins.  You will need time to find your college, line up and fill out the First Destination Survey.

Location
Page Arena located in the Falcon Center.

Degrees & Diplomas
Fall graduates will receive a diploma by late February.
J-Term graduates will receive a diploma by mid-March.
Spring graduates will receive a diploma by mid-July.
Summer graduates will receive a diploma by mid-October.

Become A Student Speaker

The Commencement Student Speaker Committee invites all undergraduate and graduate students eligible for graduation to apply to deliver the student address at the next Commencement ceremony.
