In addition to the required core of courses, students must take an additional 12-15 credits in one of the areas of Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Economics or GIS.

Undergraduate Data Science students with CS Option may apply for admission to the accelerated MSCS program once they have successfully complete CSIS 343.

Students admitted to the accelerated bachelor's to master's program are able to complete a maximum of 9 credit hours of 600-level MSCS courses in place of CS electives -- CSIS 355, CSIS 429, or CSIS 435.  Students will be able to count these credit hours as both undergraduate and graduate credits applied to the MSCS graduate program and their corresponding undergraduate program.  The directed electives available to students admitted to the accelerated bachelor's to master's program include CSIS 630, CSIS 631 and CSIS 634.
