College Level Examination Program Examinations

A passing grade on any/all of the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) General Exams taken before July 1, 2002 will be a raw score at or above the 55th percentile. A passing grade on any/all of the general exams taken on or after July 1, 2002 will be a raw score at or above the 50th percentile.

UW–River Falls will follow the American Council on Education (ACE) guidelines and recommendations for awarding credit for CLEP Subject Exams. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls academic departments will determine if credit is granted for specific courses or as elective credit on a case-by-case basis. Students may be considered for CLEP credit only if they have not already taken a college-level course in the same area as the CLEP exam.
