Mission

UW-River Falls is deeply committed to supporting a learning and living environment in which all students, faculty, staff and community members are welcomed and respected. This commitment is reflected in one of our university's core values:

INCLUSIVENESS. We commit to a community of mutual respect, professional behavior, academic freedom and appreciation of individual differences and rich cultural diversity.

The Aspire Program is designed for students of color, and/or low income and first-generation students, to ensure their continuing success at UWRF. The program will pair incoming students with an upper-class mentor to help guide them through their first year.

To Apply

The Aspire Program is designed to help first-year and new transfer students find support and succeed in the UWRF community. To be eligible to participate in the program, students must meet one of the three requirements:

  1. Identify as a student from a low-income household (defined as those who are eligible to receive Pell Grants)
  2. Identify as a first-generation student (meaning you are the first in your family to go to college)
  3. Identify as an individual from a multicultural background
