Interns indicate duties performed

  • The program is currently developing as will the duties. Basically, the intern serves as a community service officer with HPD and performs duties such as parking enforcement, court duties and other tasks needed by the dept. the intern also conducts a good amount of ride-alongs to experience the daily duties of the officers.(2006)

  • The people and connections made during the experience were my highlights. Also, they are very willing to work with me in consideration of my fugure in the field.(2006)
  • You're well informed. No matter what is happening, the officers are giving you feedback on what what is going on. They know you're there and that you're there for a reason. They will try to include you on anything and everything that they can do to try to broaden your knowledge. (2000)

  • It is not particularly difficult as they will not require you to do anything you are not comfortable with or prepared for.(2006)
  • Eating arrangements - you never know if or when or where you're going to eat. Have a little something with you just incase you get tied up. (2000)
