Requesting Transcripts

Official transcripts must be ordered online using Credentials Solutions, our third party vendor.

A UWRF Official Transcript is a complete record of a student's enrollment at UWRF maintained by the Registrar’s Office.

An Official Transcript includes all undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses. Partial transcripts are not available.

This permanent record is considered confidential between the student and the university.

No transcripts are released, except to authorized representatives within the University, without the written permission of the student.

An Official Transcript will not be issued unless all obligations to the university have been satisfied.

Official Transcripts will not be faxed. They can only be picked up or mailed.

Transcript Delivery Options

There are a variety of ways in which you can obtain your official UWRF Transcript.  Transcripts are ordered online through Credentials for in person pick-up, postal mail delivery, Fed-Ex overnight delivery, and electronic/PDF version.

In-Person Pick-Up: Transcripts can be picked up in person after ordering with a picture ID. They can also be picked up by another person on your behalf. That will need to be specified in the original order, and that individual will need to present their picture ID. Transcript will be placed in one sealed envelope; if presenting to another recipient DO NOT OPEN.

Postal Mail: Transcript will be placed in one sealed envelope, and delivered by postal mail to the address listed within the order. Postal orders placed on a business day typically are mailed out the next day.  If you order to yourself and plan to deliver to someone else, DO NOT OPEN the envelope. Delivery time depends upon when the order was made, and how far it is going. FedEx domestic and international are options within the order, and orders will be charged accordingly.

Electronic Mail/PDF: Transcript arrives to recipient as a secure PDF the same day. The secure PDF cannot be edited, and will need to be saved to another location on your device outside of your email inbox, as you will lose access to the document after 30 days.


Preferred delivery method is between you and your recipient, and it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to verify the preferred method of your intended recipient. If you request a transcript using a delivery method that your recipient will not accept, a new order will have to be made at your expense. For that reason, we strongly encourage you to confirm your recipient’s preferred delivery method before submitting any transcript orders.

Standard processing turnaround time once you place your transcript order online is 1 to 3 business days.

Unofficial Transcripts

"Unofficial" transcripts are limited to enrolled students, who may access unofficial transcripts on their eSIS Student Center Page. Former students and alumni who need a copy of their educational record must request an official transcript.




Transcript Fees

The fee for an official transcript is $10 per copy.

Transcript orders that are placed "in person" for immediate pickup will be charged an additional one time rush order fee of $8.



If an official transcript is needed for UWRF purposes and going to a UWRF office, please submit a written and signed request. The request can be mailed to UWRF Registrar's Office (410 S 3rd St, 105 North Hall, River Falls, WI  54022) or dropped off (105 North Hall).

University of Wisconsin-River Falls has retained Credentials Inc. to accept transcript orders over the Internet. If you do not have access to the Internet, call Credentials Inc. at 847-716-3005. Operator Assisted orders will have an additional processing charge.
