In order to enrich the experience of international students studying at UWRF and increase their chances for success, ISS recommends a number of on-campus resources for students. Please consider utilizing some or all of these resources.

  • Career Services helps students develop their resumes, write cover letters, and find internship or employment opportunities.
  • The English Language Transition (ELT) Program provides English language development courses for international students who need to improve any area of their English language communication.
  • The ESL Tutoring Center assists international student who need help understanding the English of college coursework. Walk in or schedule and appointment.
  • Falcon Outdoor Adventure rents bikes and camping gear to students as well as organizes outdoor activities and trips fro students. Check the website for the FOA's hours of operation.
  • Hire-a-Falcon is a web resource that make finding an on-campus job easier. Login using your W# and search for all the jobs currently available.
  • Sign up for the International Friendship Program to have an American partner so that you can practice your English, learn about American culture, and develop a friendship with a member of the community.
  • The Speech Clinic provides services like foreign accent reduction to help with your speaking comprehensibility stop by to schedule an appointment.
  • Student Health and Counseling Services provides students with mental health counseling, information about medical services, and holistic wellness programming.
  • Student Involvement organizes the majority of activities on the UWRF campus. Contact them in order to learn about upcoming events.
  • All F-1 visa holders should utilize the UWRF Scholarship System in order to apply for scholarships. Fill out the online application and see what you qualify for. 

Graduation Stoles

Graduate Flag Stole

Congratulations to graduating international students! Students who walk at a UWRF graduation ceremony may purchase a flag stole representing their home country at graduation. If you would like to purchase a stole, you may order one at the Falcon Shop at the UC when you order your cap and gown. 

Once you have completed your program and fulfilled your purpose for coming to the United States, you may have a number of options, such as applying for training, changing your status, etc. Please go to the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement website to reveiw your options and departure dates
