The Falcon Center offers a variety of different spaces that can accommodate all types of groups, functions, gatherings, practices, tournaments, classes, etc. For more information about the different Falcon Center venues, please see below.

Falcon Center Facilities Information

Fitness CenterThe 15,000 square-foot Fitness Center is located in the SE corner of Falcon Center adjacent to Karges Gym and Falcon Outdoor Adventures.  Click here to read more.

Climbing Wall

Operated by Falcon Outdoor Adventures (FOA) and Campus Recreation, the Indoor Climbing Center features a 38-foot climbing wall and bouldering wall built by Eldorado Climbing Walls.  The climbing facility features include interchangeable routes, lead climbing, auto-belay devices, and overhang elements on both the top-rope and bouldering walls.  Click here to read more.

 

Fitness Studio

The Falcon Center features 3 multi-purpose studios that range in size from 1,000-2,000 square feet. The large and medium rooms are equipped with hardwood flooring. The small multi-purpose studio has a synthetic floor. Click here to read more.

Hunt ArenaW.H. Hunt Arena is the home of men's and women's Falcon Hockey. Hunt Arena features an 85'x200' ice sheet with 4 team locker rooms. The arena seats 1,400 spectators and is located across the concourse from Page Arena. Click here to read more.

 

Karges Gym 1-12-2017

Named for former chemisty professor and vice president of River Falls State Teachers College, the original R. A. Karges Center was razed in 2018 with the completion of the Falcon Center. The R. A. Karges Auxillary Gymnasium is now located in Falcon Center and is adjacent to the Fitness Center.  Click here to read more.

Page ArenaDon Page Arena and Rick Bowen Court are the new home of Falcon basketball and volleyball. Page Arena is located across the concourse from W.H. Hunt Arena and features team locker rooms for both basketball teams as well as volleyball, a visiting locker room, and officials locker rooms.  Click here to read more.

Knowles

The Robert P. Knowles Fieldhouse features a 6-lane 200m competition track, long jump pit, throw cage, 2 batting cages, 4 full-sized basketball courts, and 5 tennis/volleyball courts. Knowles is used daily for Open Recreation opportunities, Athletics practices, as well as Health & Human Performance courses.  Click here to read more.

David Smith Stadium and Ramer Field are the home to Falcon Football and River Falls High School Football. Surrounding the AstroTurf surface football field is a 9-lane 400m outdoor track, pole vault and long/triple jump runways, and throwing event venues.  Click here to read more.

Softball StadiumPerkins Field is the home for Falcon Softball. Equipped with NCAA specified dugouts, 2 batting cages, and a bullpen, the Falcon Softball Field is great for youth softball/baseball throughout the summer months.  Click here to read more.

The Intramural Complex Fields (IM Complex) includes 22-acres of green space nestled between main campus and the Falcon Center. Equipped with a 4-field softball wheel, the IM Complex can support multiple soccer, lacrosse, rugby, and/or football fields.  Click here to read more.

 

The Falcon Tennis Courts include 6 hard court tennis courts. Located just east of the Falcon Softball Field, during the tennis season, these courts are home to Falcon Tennis.  Click here to read more.
