Matt Erickson-Featured Intern

Fidelity Information Services (FIS) is one of the largest financial technology companies in the world. Their main product is backend services and products for banks and financial companies.

As a Java developer intern, my role was to assist the development team with creating one
of the projects that my branch was assigned. Going into this internship I hoped to gain some experience on what it is like working on a software development team. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience during my
internship at FIS, I was able to use the skills that I have learned in school and was able to expand upon them.

This internship was exactly what I was looking for and showed me that I picked the right
career choice for myself.

My advice to fellow students is to apply to many internships and not to be discouraged by
rejections, just keep trying and you will succeed.
