Childcare Center

C.H.I.L.D. Center
M-F, 7 a.m.-6 p.m.

It is the intention of The CHILD Center to provide quality care to the children of students, faculty/staff and to the community at a reasonable cost. The center also serves as a fieldwork site for programs including but not limited to Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Communicative Disorders, Social Work, Counseling and School Psychology. We believe that children learn through active interaction with their environment, peers and nurturing caregivers, recognizing the individual needs and nature of each child.

  • UWRF students with 12 undergraduate credits or 9 graduate credits may qualify for student rates and will be given priority for enrollment.
  • A well-balanced schedule of large/small group activities, outdoor/indoor activities and restful/active play times.
  • Nutritious snacks and meals provided each day.
  • Each classroom provides teacher-planned activities and child-initiated activities.
  • The children have access to age-appropriate games and equipment to help the child develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually, at his/her own pace.
  • Individual attention to a child's unique needs, capabilities and background.

There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee as well as the first week's tuition due at the time of enrollment. An annual $50 registration fee is charged to all families on July 1 of each year.
