Fund created to support students facing financial crisis


December 19, 2019 – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls has established the UWRF Emergency Grant/Loan Program to assist students facing unplanned financial emergencies that can negatively affect their academic success and progress toward a degree.

The emergency funds can be used to for a wide variety of expenses ranging from housing and food to travel due to serious illness or death in the immediate family. The program cannot provide financial support for tuition, fees, books, legal fees, tobacco, alcohol, and entertainment.

A fund in the same name has been established in the UWRF Foundation so that tax-deductible contributions may be made to support this effort.
