Symphony Band concert

UW-River Falls Symphony Band and St. Croix Valley

 

February 25, 2022 -- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Symphony Band and St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7, in Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building.

The band is made up of UWRF students and the orchestra of students and musicians from the greater St. Croix Valley. UWRF Music Professor Kris Tjornehoj conducts.

The program includes a world premiere by UWRF Professor Emeritus J. Michael Roy titled “Triquetra: The Trinity Celtic Knot” featuring Denny McGinn on the horn. Other highlights include music from “The Damnation of Faust,” “Hansel and Gretel” and symphonic dances from “West Side Story.”

Admission is $8/adults, $5/seniors, $2/students. Tickets are only available at the door.

The St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra has provided music to the St. Croix Valley for about 50 years.
