UWRF Offers Business Plan Basics for Entrepreneurs

Aug. 26, 2011--The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is scheduling a 12-week Entrepreneurial Training Program beginning Sept. 20. The intensive training program will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 6 -9 p.m. in 321 South Hall on the UWRF campus.

At the completion of the program, entrepreneurs will have a business plan in place and an excellent understanding of marketing, financials, legal structures and product pricing.

The training program costs $250 and includes a comprehensive reference book, workbook and all class handouts. The course instructor is Steve DeWald, director of UWRF's SBDC.

"A well thought out business plan is one of the most critical aspects of going into business," says DeWald.  "It is a key requirement in securing a business loan. In addition, it serves as an important road map for your business."

To register, contact the SBDC office at 715-425-0620 or email tina.kelly@uwrf.edu.
