UWRF College of Education and Professional Studies to Host Welcome Home Event

JUNE 20, 2011—The University of Wisconsin-River Falls College of Education and Professional Studies will host a “Welcome Home” event on the UWRF campus for alumni and friends on July 12 at 3 p.m.

The event will feature a presentation by Kelly Cain, director of the St. Croix Institute for Sustainable Community Development, entitled “Living Green: Sustainability at UWRF and Beyond.” Campus tours, a reception and a Summer Concert Series performance by Willy Porter are also included on the program’s agenda.

Schedules are so busy during the school year, that the College of Education and Professional Studies Alumni Advisory Board thought that a summer event would be a good way to re-connect with school teachers, administrators, and professionals,” says Faye Perkins, interim dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies.

Participants in the event will also have the opportunity to meet the new Dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies Larry Solberg.

The event is open to the public. To make a reservation, call the UWRF Office of University Advancement at 877-258-6647 or email alumni@uwrf.edu. Cost is $10 per person or $20 for a family. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by July 5.
