UW-River Falls Assistant Professor of Conservation and Environmental Science Kevyn Juneau led a group of eight UWRF students on an international tropical restoration experience earlier this summer. The team travelled to Andros Island, Bahamas, where they collected data and assisted the Bahamas Forestry Unit with restoration of several environmental systems.

Students worked alongside the Bahamas Forestry Unit to help restore different systems including pine forests, mangrove and sand/beach dune sustems.
In addition to restoration efforts, the students helped to collect data for the Bahama Oriole project andvisited coral propogation set-ups and coral reef restoration sites.
