UW-River Falls offers free strategy workshops for graduate school admissions exams

January 4, 2018 -- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is hosting free workshops this month to demonstrate how certain test-taking strategies can help those planning to take the GRE, GMAT or LSAT admission exams for graduate school.

“If you are preparing for graduate school, you know that success on your admission exam plays a critical role,” said Randy Zimmermann, director of UW-River Falls Continuing Education. “Standardized tests like the GRE, GMAT and LSAT help determine your admission status and are used in merit-based scholarships, grants, fellowships, and assistantships.”

At these workshops, experienced test preparation instructors will demonstrate how the class strategies may help students achieve great test results. Workshops are delivered online for all three exams and face-to-face on the UW-River Falls campus for the GRE exam.

The online workshops offered this month include the GMAT exam workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the LSAT exam workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 6 p.m., and the GRE exam workshop on January 24 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The on-campus workshop for the GRE exam is Thursday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. in the Trimbelle River Room at the University Center.

Students must register in advance to receive access to the online workshops and are encouraged to register for the face-to-face workshop also. Visit http://go.uwrf.edu/testprep to register and view the schedule of test prep classes offered this year.
