Support to those impacted by latest Twin Cities police shooting and protests

April 14, 2021- We acknowledge that the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright on April 11 by a member of a police force has felt traumatic for some in our Falcon community, pain that is of course magnified by its having occurred during the trial of Derek Chauvin. We would like to call on our UWRF community to be compassionate and offer support to those who might be struggling with yet another tragic event so close to our campus home. Our campus-wide commitment to racial justice remains unwavering and we all have a role to play in building a more equitable, safe and welcoming community. UW-River Falls is here to support all members of our community through these trying times.
