UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
April 22, 2011—Relatives and friends of students at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls recently got to experience campus life first hand.
The annual Little Siblings Weekend, an event hosted by the UW-River Falls Resident Hall Association, took place April 8-10. Each UWRF student on campus had the option of hosting younger brothers, sisters, cousins or friends to show them what college life is about.
On Friday, siblings were treated to a bonfire, tie dying t-shirts, movies and night games. On Saturday, siblings got a taste of campus fare with brunch in Riverside Commons.
Other activities included a carnival, a Nerf gun tournament, a picture scavenger hunt, bingo and a dance.
“Lil Sib’s Weekend was a great success. We had over 70 ‘lil sibs’ on campus for a weekend of diverse activities for all ages and bonding with their UWRF sibling, cousin or friend,” says Tracy Gerth, UWRF west area coordinator.
